Pointers On this page, we would like to point to other Frontier projects that make heavy use of the Regex extension. If you have released such a project, please send us email! Tag Extraction Kit The Tag Extraction Kit was developed by Arnold Lesikar to simplify extracting information from HTML formatted text using regular expressions. It is useful in connection with the HTML framework but could also be used to create a web crawler. ImportSite Suite Although Frontier already ships with a command to import existing websites from the file system into the ODB, a lot of work has still to be done by hand to adapt the site to the HTML framework. David Weingart has developed the ImportSite suite to reduce the neccessary work. Patterns Plugin Jeb Bateman has developed the Patterns Plugin for his Ocha suite. It creates a general system for html shorthand in Frontier. Regular Expressions and callback scripts are used to add complex html to web pages as they render, but hide that markup in writing and reading of source documents. To make full use of this plugin, basic knowledge of regular expressions is required. htmlImage, XFile, JavaScript, Replacer Samuel Reynolds has released a couple of suites that make use of the Regex extension. All of them are available from his website, some even for Frontier 4.2.3. Shorthand Plugin for Manila Ken Dow created the Shorthand Plugin for Manila, based on earlier work by Scott S. Lawton. This plugin implements a shorthand notation for creating simple HTML code in Manila discussion group messages, stories, etc.
